Laura Pavliscak, M.S.,  Stewardship Manager

Laura grew up in California, exploring its amazing diversity of wild places from an early age.  Intrigued by the nexus of natural history and land management, she received a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Cruz in Environmental Studies, focusing on Agricultural Ecology, where she interned, worked, and volunteered on multiple farms both in the U.S. and internationally.  In 2001, she began a career as an independent consultant in field biology, reveling in living and working in wild places in the American Southwest and abroad.  Her work has specialized in supporting conservation research and mitigation of endangered species and arid systems.  She received a M.S. from the University of Arizona, focusing on ecology and land management.  She joined the Conservancy team in January 2014, and is thrilled to contribute to their long-term vision of science-based conservation at Tejon Ranch.
